FAKE NEWS FROM RFA: I JUST WANT TO LAUGH

South Korea has been promoting local culture through film and television. The tourism has seen increase in recent years. The K-POP idols active, Korean dramas and Korean variety shows are major contributor However, these films and TV shows are prohibited in North Korea. The authorities have also promulgated the “Law on Reactionary Ideology and Culture”, which prohibits people from accessing illegally imported film and TV information. The offenders will be sent to political prison and some of serious offenders will be execution of the death penalty.

Recently, it was reported that North Korea had shot three high school students, one of whom had murdered his stepmother and two who had tried to sell “Korean dramas.”
